Community to the rescue

 I haven´t gotten any models painted in a few weeks now. Got carried away by some other activities and now I´m having hard time getting my painting motivation back. What helped me to write this short update is that I got lucky and won the lottery draw for last years Oldhammer Forum legacy project.

For year 2020 the theme was genestealer cult and spot color was green. As mentioned the ´winner´ is chosen on random and the luck chap gets all the models for himself. The only thing I´ve done with these is basing. Othervise they are as they arrived.

Mutated purestrains with wings, a couple of hybribds, an ork hybrid, beastman,

squat hybrid and a brood brother.

Now I need to create a scenario where they can be used.

Legacy Coven 2020 entrant

As this years Lagacy Project we are building a genestealer coven over at Oldhammer Forum. Check out this thread and sign in if interested. You can find the threads about 2017 and 2019 project by clicking those two banners in the right hand side side bar.

My participant will be this simple brood brother. Touched by Slaanesh he was born with pupilless eyes, pale skin and purple hair. Fearing the inquisition his parents left him to die but the baby was found by a member of a genestealer cult.  Regarded sacred because of his coloring the baby was adopted into the coven and raised to be a warrior. Grown up now he fights side by side with his new family.

As you can see he´s a Bob Olley Guardsman with a beaky marine bolt gun. This

years spot colorfor project is green and I gave him green jump suit and body armor.

Belt and pouches are simple leather with some metal details. Shoulder pads and

boots are black with greenish grey highlights.

Legacy 2019

I´m taking part in Oldhammer Forum´s Legacy 2019 Project. This year the theme is Chaos Marauder Band inspired By the game Chaos Marauders. I felt that a chaos gobbo would fit in and as I wanted to take a short break from painting Imperial Guard I decided to finish him right away.

 

 

 

So my participant is a C27 Chaos Goblin Mutant "Three eyes". His robes are Mephisto red shaded heavily with Agrax Earthshade. Then highlighted with Mephisto red and washed with Bloodletter. More highlights with Evil Sunz Scarlet that was gradually mixed with yellow paint and ink. Final highlights with yellow.

 

Skin is Warboss green shaded with Agrax. Highlights are Warboss, Skarsnik Green and Game Color Escopena green mixed with Skarsnik.
