50% of 2nd Mutant band

 Slowly digging myself out of the not-getting-anything-painted hole I dug myself during february and march. I put some new mutants together weeks ago and finally found motivation to splash paint on them. And I really mean splash - it´s mostly contrasts and in very quick manner. These will eventually form the second mutant band for my Genestealer Cult Army. Need to finish the other three muties. By the way - here is the first band.

Big head, Leggy and Mantis

Big head comes with over grown head and a tentacle. Leggy has head

swap with something alien and an extra leg. Mantis has an insect had and

strange skin color. All armed with hand weapons of different types.

New mutants

 I hate to show unpainted models but I´m making an excepting here. Mainly due to the fact that I´ve been buried in work and haven´t had time and energy to paint pretty much anything. What I´ve managed is to build six new mutant models for Slaanesh alligned Genestealer Cult.

The mutants

With the completion of the last two models Genestealer Cult army´s Mutant band is now ready. Imperial guard bodies with CP models and other parts for mutations.

Left to right: 

Spidey, Kurt, Penquin, Joker, Thirty-Thirty and Glarogo

 Spidey is a cross breed with spider who has a tentacle in place of his left arm.

Kurt has albinism, tail and horns. Tail by CP models. Horns from a cold one.

 Penguin has been blessed with tentacles and an alien head. 

All his mutation parts are CP models.

Joker has claws and discolored skin and hair. Head from CP models.

Claws came from a 5th ed. dark elf cold one.

Thirty-thirty walks on very long (horse) legs and has a bony crest on his head.

Glarogo´s two head and tentacle are by CP models. His two left arms

are from plastic skinks.

Mutant rabble

These sad individuals belong to the absolutely lovest caste of a Genestealer Cult Army, the mutant band. Too badly mutated to be able to remain in a normal society they found a haven of some sort with the Cult. They propably aren´t the most loyal servants of the Cult but with no other place to go they have little choise but to stay. The Cult leader knows this and will ruthlessly exploit the mutants if needed.

The two models came to me in a IG job lot. They were covered in thickish black paint and I quite a bad condition. I reckoned they would never get cleaned enough to be normal IG troopers. So they were chosen to get new life as a part of the Cult. Most of the conversion parts are from CP Models. The rest came from my bits box.

The first one has tentacle and crossbreed with a spider mutations. The second one

has been blessed with horns, albinism and scorpion tail. Both painted in the

same purple, yellow and black scheme as the rest of the cult.

Need four more to hit the sacred number.

Green brothers in Chaos

Bought a few pre slotta goblins a couple of weeks ago from Oldhammer forums´ Trading subforum. I was mostly looking for fanatics of which I got three. Then I noticed a chaos goblin shaman and another one that looked like pretty normal goblin to me in the picture. It turned out to be a chaos goblin mutant. One of the fanatics has been seen here with my gnomes and now it´s time to present the chaos goblin duo.

That´s a lot of warts/pimples on the gobbo. Quite a mad look on that shaman´s face. 

Side view of both mutants. My shaman has only one spike on his back. There is a version with three spikes too. And I´ve seen one with hand pointing straight up and with some hair of his/her head but that could have been a conversion.

Plague will fill a spot in ever groving gobbo unit. And spiky shaman gets to be... well... a shaman. Before him I had only one orc shaman and Spiky comes in very handy.

Some baddies

Found some old baddies today from a bits box at local gaming store. Here´s the lot:

That´s 20 plastic orcs and 20 plastic gobins from fantasy regiment box. A few metal orcs and goblins. And on the background chaos champions/warriors.

Perhaps I will have to start a goblinoid army someday. The chaos champions/warriors I might trade for elf cavalry minis (looking for horse archers of Elf6 line). or Jes Goodwin elf spearmen.

Harjoittelua

Pakko se on tunnustaa; en ole koskaan ollut mikään hyvä maalaaja ja parinkymmenen vuoden tauko ei ole ainakaan parantanut tilannetta. Uudet maalit tuntuvat kuitenkin laadukkailta, paitsi tietenkin keltainen. Onkohan millään valmistajalla kunnollista keltaista? Siis sellaista joka peittäisi kunnolla, eikä jäisi aina jotenkin suttuisen näköiseksi.

Harjoittelun aiheena oli turkki/karvoitus ja uhriksi valikoitui miljoonalaatikosta BB 2nd edition star player Slarga Foulstrike. Tarkoitus oli maalata vain turkki, mutta sitten tein Slargalle myös pikaisesti varusteet ja housut. Sinikeltainen värimaailma toi idean - Tre Kronor chaos team blodikseen. Täytyy pistää mietintään.
